Lab Analyst

Our client is a dynamic team of Scientists, Engineers and Professionals. They are currently recruiting for a Lab Analyst to join their team.

Key duties:

Data entry into our web application.

-Scanning paperwork and emailing it to Head office.
-Maintain inventory of consumables in lab and procuring when needed.
-Handling various analytical lab equipment
-Perform testing on a variety of fuels as per ISO & ASTM procedures
-Analyse test results and report to the customers
-Preparing solutions, cultures or specimens
-Recording and presenting data
-Train lab technicians on test protocols, assist R&D team performing experiments.
-Any other duties as reasonably required by management.

The working pattern for this role is five and a half days per week, Monday to Friday full days and then a half day on Saturday.

Key requirements/skills:

-Have basic knowledge of computers including MS Office like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
-The ability to understand, follow and convey technical instructions
-Accuracy and attention to detail
-The ability to work with minimal or no supervision
-Excellent organization skills
-Knowledge about wet chemistry techniques
-Experience with setting up experiments
-Excellent record keeping skills
-Good problem solving and analytical skills
-MATLAB experience is a plus
-Own transport to work preferred
