SCIENTIST/SENIOR SCIENTIST - 12 month contract/maternity cover position 140

They are seeking a Cell Biologist to join a vibrant, collaborative, fast moving and multi-disciplined cell biology team aimed at delivering a pipeline of new enhanced T cell receptor (TCR)-based therapies to the clinic. The group is mainly involved in identifying and characterising new TCRs for Adoptive T Cell Therapy. The role will involve carrying out and optimising experiments involving a wide variety of cellular and immunological assays to isolate tumour reactive T cell clones and to identify candidate TCRs to enter the pipeline.

A flexible, enthusiastic, creative attitude to work, good data management skills, attention to detail and the aptitude to deal with multiple disciplines in parallel projects is essential. Good time management and the capability to work to deadlines will also be key. Experience of the following areas/techniques will be an advantage:

  • primary T cell culture
  • cellular immunology
  • ELISpot and/or ELISA
  • flow cytometry and cell sorting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Applicants for this position should have a BSc/MSc degree and at least 2 years' experience working in an academic or industrial cell biology lab or a PhD. Additional training will be provided as required. Hepatitis B vaccination may be required and costs covered by our client if necessary.
