Part Time 1:1 Teacher (ASD & EBD) - bishops stortford

We are looking for qualified and experienced teacher to work with a Year 7 student in the Bishops Stortford area on a 1:1 basis. The student in question has Autism and behaviour difficulties. They are currently working at Level 3 in English and level 4 in Maths. The successful candidate should have experience in engaging with difficult students, good rapport building skills and strong behaviour management.
You will be required to teach for 15 hours per week (consisting of 5 x 3 hour sessions between Monday and Friday during School time). We are looking for somebody to start ASAP and you will be teaching the student in their home.
This is a great opportunity for somebody who wants to make a real difference to a student away from a mainstream setting. I had 12 teachers working for this company last term and all have commented on how rewarding it was to see their student progress and in many cases make huge leaps from where they were.
There is also a potential opportunity to double up and take on a second student, should you be looking for full time hours. There is also the opportunity of a permanent job as our client, will also often look to take people on who have been with them for a while and are doing well.
Our client delivers individual specialist education programmes to young people who are facing difficulty in accessing education.
The children they provide a service to are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons and include children with special education needs, those in care homes, those with challenging behaviour and those who are under achieving and in need of specialist support.
