Location: Marischal College
Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose:
To deliver adult support and protection training modules to a range of social work staff, and to contribute to the development of further adult protection training opportunities.



Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

Professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing (with community experience).
SSSC registration or other equivalent
PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children and/or Vulnerable Adults or the willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made.



Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

The ability to identify training needs in relation to policy and legal developments
The ability to work autonomously and in partnership with other agencies, in particular NHS Grampian and Educational establishments to develop and deliver training programmes
The ability to assist in the development of systems for organising (and statistically recording) adult protection training activity
The ability to work with staff at pre-qualifying and post qualifying levels
The ability to exercise initiative in the undertaking of day to day duties
Ensure the promotion and compliance with statutory, policy and procedural requirement.
Promote equalities, human rights, health and safety and service user involvement
Ensure that good practice and continuous professional development of self is maintained in line with policy and procedures, agreed standards and legislation and in line with statutory obligations
