Accounts Assistant - Temporary
Our client is looking for an experienced temporary Accounts Assistant to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 6 months. As an Accounts Assistant you will provide support in Credit Control, Accounts Payable and processing Direct Debits. Main duties: Ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of paymentsContacting customers when payment is overdue, asking them to settle their account and explaining the terms of their creditEffectively dealing with customer account queries/complaintsSetting and negotiating up re-payment plansMonthly reportsProcessing of high volume invoices, ensuring supplier invoices are accurately input, in a timely and efficient manner, working within strict deadlinesStatement reconciliations, investigating and resolving queriesPlanning all monthly pulls making sure all Direct Debit customers have their Direct Debit taken on the correct dateEnsuring all the Direct Debits are set up dailyMaximising the opportunities and capabilities of the current system and initiating any improvements Skills and Experience: Prior experience of working in a busy accounts department and mainly in Credit Control is essential and ideally experience of Direct Debits and Accounts PayableComputer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packageAbility to reconcile complex accountsExcellent attention to detailAbility to demonstrate a methodical, organised and flexible approach to workEffective verbal and written communication skillsCalm and confident telephone manner If you are available immediately for this temporary role and have the relevant skills and experience then please apply now!
