Management Accountant

My client based in Watford is looking for a qualified management accountant to join their team whilst the finance team undergo a restructure. The main purpose of the role is to provide a full range of financial services for management accounting, including monitoring and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, short and long term financial planning and control to enable effective decision making and support for tactical and operational needs of the department. Main duties of the role include: -Provide support and financial advice to budget holders: monitoring and interpreting income and expenditure reports based on KPIs information, service delivery outputs, and the provision of variance/movement analysis. -Utilise corporate systems to produce regular, timely, accurate, relevant and effective management information, showing progress and performance against plans to facilitate budgetary control, forecasting and forward planning. -Provide pro-active support and interpretation for all budget holders in addressing adverse performance against plan, advising on suitable corrective actions as necessary in order to achieve business plans and strategic objectives. -Assist in the timely preparation and consolidation of detailed accurate regional and divisional: budgets, forecasts and forward financial plans, utilising corporate systems to provide management information and financial reports in relation to service, area or division performance. -Provide timely support and advice to budget holders in respect of individual tenders and business developments, ensuring that all bids meet required standards. -Ensure contract compliance in respect of all commercial and financial clauses. This will include providing financial and audit reports for external customers. -Prepare the annual audit information packs investigating queries as directed by the external auditors.
