You should be an enthusiastic and ambitious Science graduate who has earned at least a 2:2 in your degree and has the ability to increase the drive and motivation of students. Your portfolio will include teacher training as your ultimate goal and a wide range of interests beyond the classroom. We want to see graduates with the drive to keep a step ahead of their peers by demonstrating their drive to succeed in the role of Teaching Assistant.
About the PGCE Trainee Science Teacher Role
This PGCE Trainee Science Teacher role involves you working within the Science department leading children on a 1:1 and small group basis in key areas of the curriculum. In general, you will be providing support and assistance, not only in class, but for the school's array of during and after school clubs and societies. Day-to-day, you will be progressing your teaching technique by immersing yourself into the schools whole environment and learning from your peers alongside the official training through the University of Buckingham. The department is fortunate to have some outstanding resources and will give you the opportunity to teach all the way up to A level classes.
