Morgan McKinley is currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Analyst to join a leading business in Gloucestershire. This is an interim/contract position for an initial 6 month period, paying up to ??50K + benefits. Role summary: Ensuring the US GAAP balances and transactions are accounted for consistently, compliantly and as efficiently as possible across all European entities. This role is required to maintain detailed understanding of the balance sheet, management of the more technical areas and ensure all risks and opportunities on the balance sheet are identified and managed accordingly. Assist in identifying and eliminating accounting differences across sites, defining best practice Be a critical part of the growth of as it transforms additional sites in Europe. Key Responsibilities: Manage and complete the transformation of tasks within your remit to the Global Operations team.Own, plan & execute key strategic projects including implementation of the new Enterprise Standard Chart of AccountsTransferring GL balances & Pillar Applications to new ERP system, simplifying and standardising processesTransfer of a branch to Global Operations & continue with accounting oversightResponsible for the process design, accounting & controls for a number of balances of the sitesSupporting at month ends and quarter ends to close the books in the most efficient manner possibleThoroughly analyse & understand balance sheet to drive operating performance in the business. Retain ownership of complex monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations as required.Write technical papers where required on arising accounting matters.
