Are you an excellent BI developer, with experience of building data warehouses and cubes using the Microsoft SQL Server technology stack? The Chief Information Officer is building a team to bring together raw data from across the business and outside sources and transform it into meaningful and useful information for supporting decision-making. We're looking for a highly-motivated Business Intelligence developer to join our team at Swiis UK, one of the leading providers of independent fostering services, and health and social care services in the UK. In this role you will help design and build a self-service Business Intelligence solution using Microsoft BI tools. You will work closely with the CIO to help shape and deliver an industry leading Business Intelligence strategy, focusing on quality, accuracy and beautiful, responsive data visualisations. Key duties and responsibilities To design, develop, implement and support the Business Intelligence solution by: Using full Microsoft BI stack (MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS and Power BI)Capturing and applying business logic to transform and enrich source dataApplying Kimball best practices to development of the data warehouseWorking with the business to create rich visualisations and modelsSupporting the CIO in developing a class-leading business intelligence solutionTaking an active interest in new technologies and ideas to deliver better solutions or improve development process Essential Qualifications and Attributes Expert in BI development technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI.Expert in T-SQL and query optimisation.Experience designing and building relational databases in SQL Server.Experience designing and building data warehouses using Kimball best practice.OLAP / Tabular cube design, implementation and performance tuning.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of always documenting your work to a high standard.Ability to design pragmatic and efficient solutions that are targeted at achieving business goals.
