Warehouse Manager

Job Title: Warehouse ManagerLocation: SomersetSalary: Up to ??32,000 dependent on candidate experience Our client, a family owned business, is one of the UK's leading Plastic distributers and they are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. Our client have seen exponential growth and they now cover the entire UK delivering a first class service and product range. The main responsibility of the Warehouse Manager will be to smarten the existing Warehouse Processes so that they are able to cope with the growth and increase the Warehouse efficiency so that they can continue to grow as a company. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for a team of eight experienced Warehouse Operatives. Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager will: Manage all aspects of warehousing and distribution for the companyManage all warehouse personnelAllocate tasks and help to prioritise each shift's workloadSet KPI's / targets and hold staff to accountComplete Staff training as neededManage and gain close control of working methods and stock managementReview the current Warehouse Procedures and suggest ways to improve themImplement processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiencyLiaise with suppliers / customers / other departments on a regular basisRegularly update the Senior ManagementEnsure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all timesEnsure that the Warehouse is kept clean and tidy to create a safe working environmentFacility managementKeep the CRM system up to dateEnsure that budgets are being adhered toGet involved in the day to day work- this will include goods in, stock control etc. The ideal candidate will: Have experience in warehouse managementHave experience managing a teamHave industry recognised qualifications (would be ideal)Have proven experience in implementing processes and proceduresBe able to demonstrate how you have increased the efficiency of a warehouseHave 5S knowledge and experienceHave Lean manufacturing experienceBe knowledgeable of CAPBe used to working in a demanding environmentBe a confident IT user
