The Conference and Events Manager will be responsible for managing the various functions, and operate a very hands on and flexible approach towards running the department, while focusing and driving standards at all times. Conference & Events Manager - Unique Visitor Attraction - Role Responsibility As Conference and Events Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Driving high customer service standards within the siteMaintaining strong site standards as well as adhering to the company's high ethical valuesUnderstanding finance and strict budgetary guidelinesManaging a team of casual managers for multi eventsDealing with day to day clients and enquiriesEnsuring hospitality services are delivered to the highest standardsOverseeing function rooms, conference suits, bars and VIP areaCreate strong awareness of local competitionLead and manage the team to drive a world class operation for both event days and non event days.Engage in the recruitment process and controlLabour cost within budgetary constraints.Ensure that training is ongoing and specific to meet the current and future needs of the operation aligned to the service level agreement.To provide strong leadership and vision for the operational and support teamsMove a successful business partnership forward, maintaining excellent relationships and striving for world class status in all areas.Oversee the production of high quality food and beverage offers in all areas ensuring agreed margins and costings are met.Ensure all operating standards are followed by all staff at all times.Coordinate the quality control feedback system, reporting to the clients and company through KPI action plans.Ensure all services are ready for operation at the specific time, to the standard laid down in the service level agreement and to ensure the company contractual obligations are met in full.Ensure all operational activities are undertaken in line with strict cost centre and budgetary constraints, making savings where possible but without detracting from the service offered.Monitor on a daily basis the standards achieved in each area and take corrective action where required.Ensure all purchasing activity compiles with company policy.Ensure that product and stock is managed and delivered effectively and meets the strict requirements of the business.Monitor and ensure the all government and legislative guidelines are adhered to.Take a strategic and pragmatic approach to management decisions and see through to fruition.
