CAT Paralegal
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a supportive team to further develop their skills and experience and grow in to the role. You will work closely with and assist the solicitors in the Commerce & Technology Group in the Nottingham office to develop good quality work. Principal duties will be to scope new enquiries to the team to establish client requirements, assist in file opening, administration and archiving procedures. You will generate initial drafts of straightforward commercial and intellectual property documents as well as work in conjunction with other fee earners in the generation and amendment of complex documents.
A completed LPC with electives in Commercial Law and/or Intellectual Property Law is essential to be considered for this role. You will also need to possess high quality drafting and word processing skills. Client care is paramount along with excellent organisational, research and report writing skills as well as the ability to prioritise a varied workload. You will need the ability to work effectively on your own using your own initiative as well as being able to work well within a team environment. You will be forward thinking and naturally inquisitive with experience of working within an office environment with a practical understanding of legal principles and current legislation. You will have previous experience of working in an office of solicitors.
