An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor skilled in marine Engineering (piling, cofferdams and reinforced concrete) to join a Main Tier Civil Contractor on a major port upgrade on the south east coast of England with works expected to last a minimum of 24 months. The works will entail marine piling, excavations and reinforced concrete so previous experience of these would be highly advantageous.

Established over 80 years ago as marine engineering specialists this is your opportunity to further develop your career with one of the UK's largest civil construction companies.

This key role will be based on site in Dover. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years experience working as a quantity surveyor / engineer on major civil / marine works projects in the UK. This in an opportunity to work on a GBP130m expansion project which involves a new marina pier, new dock link, hover port reclamation and marina fit-out.
This will be a challenging career development role that will significantly help further your career in Quantity Surveying on a prestigious UK construction project for a leading contractor.

Reporting to the Project / Commercial Manager

*Provide maintenance of the cost reporting system and manage financial status of projects
*Identify, value and manage change and maintain change register
*Coordination with supply chain and business units to produce accurate cost reporting
*Produce accurate forecasting and commercial reporting to internal teams and client
*Understanding of project risk, basic plant, equipment and labour costs to manage financial status of projects
*Working knowledge of standard forms of contract - Measured Term, Traditional Lump Sum and Design & Construct

*Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering (or minimum HNC equivalent qualification)
*Minimum 4-6 years experience in Quantity Surveying
*Experience working on major marine civil works packages with a main contractor
*Professional CIOB Membership - Desired
*Experience working on standard forms of contract
*Excellent written and verbal communication
