Supplier Quality Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a market leading organisation to provide expertise to the business in a wide range of Quality based disciplines, best practices and quality improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer
Focus on New Product Introduction design stage, launch stage, transition to operations
Visit Suppliers on a regular basis to resolves issues
Lead and execute specific Quality related projects
Support elements of the Quality Management System and Environment Management System
DFMEA & PFMEA and Design Reviews providing technical feedback to both Operations and NPD/ principles of TQM Total Quality Management / Standards & Test Limit Setting / PPAP - Production Part Approval Process / S.P.C. Statistical Process Control
Must be prepared to travel Estimated 15% - 20%

Experience/Qualifications of the Supplier Quality Engineer
Experience with problem solving tools and techniques such as 8D, 5 whys and FMEA.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma/ Total Quality Management
Some experience within a Quality function, executing roles based on product quality, process quality, inspection based tasks
Knowledge of production processes involving metals, plastics and other materials.
Demonstrable experience with ISIR
Ideally degree qualified an Engineering / Quality based discipline or relevant experience
