POST Recruitment is representing an incredibly well backed online business, who have a disruptive online portal that is revolutionising their niche industry.

Having launched in 2013, they have secured over GBP1.5 million in new funding and are looking to expand their team with a Head of Content to join their growing London office.

You'll be responsible for creating our client's entire content strategy, driving innovation and deployment of content across all digital platforms. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be managing small team of content writers with full support from the wider marketing and analytics teams.

Responsibilities:

• Developing an engaging and customer centric content strategy with a focus on enhancing the customer journey and experience, whilst growing our client's SEO performance.
• Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimised for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, and video.
• Mapping out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why.
• The development of a functional content calendar.
• Managing a small team of content writers; being an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
• Conducting on-going usability tests to gauge content effectiveness. Working with the analytics team, making recommendations based on data and insight.
• Developing standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing.
• Leveraging market data to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view and educate customers that leads to critical behavioural metrics.
• Establishing workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
• Conducting periodic competitive audits.

What we need from you:

• The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of digital content experience, having worked on content initiatives involving SEO, PR and social media outcomes. Experience of the travel sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
• You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example, manage and develop the content team. You will have strong project management skills with an analytical approach to reporting and redefining strategy.
• You will be focused on understanding the customer journey and identifying opportunities to better the customer experience. You will understand all aspects of content deployment including creative, UX, SEO and social media.
