Little needs to be said... You'll be specifically working for a Beauty, Lifestyle, and Fashion magazine stemming from one of the world's largest English Language newspaper websites.

About the role

We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The role's goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

The role is extremely autonomous and you'll have plenty of responsibility from day one. This is a three month contract with the aim to build up social media following in preparation for a website relaunch - at the end of the three months, the aim will to find another role where you best fit.

Your responsibilities

* Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
* Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
* Set up and optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
* Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
* Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
* Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
* Collaborate with Editorial, Creative & Audience Development areas of the business to identify key players and coordinate actions

Training and development

As part of a fast-paced and collaborative working environment, this role is suited to someone who wants to hit the ground running. You'll be supported by the friendly and motivating team, but any ideas you want to share, or solutions you think are useful, are yours to get going!

The role is highly autonomous and management will be very hands-off, so you'll have to be comfortable hitting the ground running.

Requirements:

* Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
* Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
* Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
* Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, SEO.
* Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
* Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability.
