Our client is a long-established multi-disciplinary consultancy who provide expert services to clients on a global scale. This organisation work on projects across industries such as transport, waste and wastewater, buildings, nuclear, power and utilities. This fast growing business are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join the team in Reading.

About You

* Do you have a first class degree in an environmental or ecological based degree?
* Can you demonstrate excellent report writing skills and the ability to produce Species Reports, Ecological Appraisals and Impact Assessments to a high standard?
* Are you currently in a Senior Ecologist position which requires you to lead a team and manage a range of ecological projects?
* Do you hold at least one protected species licence, e.g. bat, GCN, dormouse?
* Are you a full member of the CIEEM?
* Do you have experience carrying out Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and Protected Species Surveys?

About the position

Working as a Senior Ecologist, you will be expected to:

* Play a role in the implementation of ecological surveys, consultation, assessment and mitigation work
* Liaise with sub-consultants and clients, both internal and external
* Be involved in creating new business as well as maintaining existing client relationships
* Mentor and provide support to more junior members of the team
* Oversee a range of ecological projects
* Apply for protected species licences for your area of expertise
* Prepare fee proposals
