Relationship Manager, Specialist Business Team - Business Banking Centre
Salary: GBP25,000
Location: Edinburgh
Our client is a Bank that is different from other banks.
They don't do investment banking, overseas speculation or big corporate finance. They just serve individuals and local business customers - we call it "local banking".
In this role you will respond to customer enquiries for the assigned area of the Business Banking Centre, primarily over the telephone, and is responsible for credit and operational risk, and supports associated tasks and the day to day workflow.
Accountabilities:

Demonstrates Bank behaviours whilst carrying out all aspects of role.
Manages self to ensure adherence to risk and compliance policies and relevant external regulatory frameworks.
Contributes to the design, development and specification of new or revised processes, procedures and systems.
Supports change in order to achieve continuous improvement.
Supports and assists colleagues within the team providing guidance and support to less experienced team members.
Specific:
Speaks with customers on a daily basis, proactively contacting and managing them, whilst delivering a brilliant Bank Experience during difficult conversations.
Evidences a broad knowledge of understanding of Business Accounts and sector information.
Basic understanding of Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions Regulations
Good organisational, time management and attention to detail while being able to self manage your own workflow
Prepares, presents and reviews relevant documentation to the required standard, identifying and referring gaps/missing data.
Liaises with line management and/or other business areas, clarifies issues and ensures that the nature of the information being provided is understood by the recipient.
Assesses, develops and agrees action plans/strategies where relevant, meets or exceeds the agreed performance objectives, and supports the customer and Bank alike - continually monitors progress against completion.
Develops a knowledge, awareness and understanding of other roles within the Business Banking function to effectively handle role rotation amongst Relationship Managers, as well as developing new skills and competencies as determined by business needs and personal development goals.
Performs networking activities as appropriate, across the Business Banking Centre and wider organisation, to support identification and sharing of best practice.
