Business/ Account Manager: Factorylux for Heals

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 + Commission DOE
HMRC accredited employee co-ownership & profit share scheme
Employer matched contribution pension up to 3%

Location: Heals Stores/ Home/ Field based (London initially)

Factorylux are a cutting edge UK lighting manufacturer, now looking for an entrepreneurial individual, with a background in retail sales and operations, to manage and roll out our new in store experience at Heals.

The Instore Experience:

'Factorylux for Heals' is to lighting what NIKEiD Studio is to footwear. It’s the first ever opportunity for retail consumers to experience the power of bespoke lighting ‘in store’ and at a price they can afford.

Purpose built units within the lighting showroom allow retail assistants to demo Factorylux product options alongside iPad configurators which link the store to our factory. Bespoke orders are manufactured and shipped within 48 hours.

We've been disrupting the lighting market for almost a decade. Top brands from Marks & Spencer to Martin Scorsese depend on Factorylux for fast bespoke lighting. Factorylux for Heals will place this powerful UK design and manufacturing capability in the hands of the general public.

The Opportunity for You:

You are experienced in retail, have creative flair and passion for British manufacturing. You'll manage the experience, supplier side. Initially at Heals flagship Tottenham Court Rd store, then roll out across all Heals units.

You’ll work from Heals stores, home and on the road, with regular visits to our Yorkshire HQ/ factory. Our London architectural lighting office (Old Truman Brewery) is also available to you. You’ll use Macbook/ iPads/ iPhone to stay abreast of the challenge. You’ll be resourceful and brilliant at self starting. You'll immerse yourself in the experience, bring it to life and make it a commercial success.


• Sales Targets & Reporting
Daily FaceTime meets + monthly reports to Factorylux management to discuss performance, agree targets, solutions and implementation.

• Training & Support
Engagement of Heals retail assistants is key. You will lead and train them, calling on Factorylux resources and support wherever required.

• Product Development
It's a unique opportunity to work with our most creative customers. You'll feedback on direction, ensuring we're always ahead of market trends.

• Experience Development
Blurring the line between in store and online is an area of retail that is set for growth. You'll lead the evolution of the experience itself, ensuring we stay ahead of the opportunity we created.

• Operations/ Roll Out
We're setting up Tottenham Court Rd, you’ll take charge of rolling out to all future stores. There will be many practical and logistical issues to resolve.

• Media
Media interest in our summer '16 pop up was high and is set to grow with this incarnation. From time to time you’ll need to liaise with PR folks and journalists.
