A vacancy has arisen for a Product Planning Executive on a Permanent basis for our world renowned automotive manufacturing client based in the West Midlands.
Supporting the Product Marketing Manager, Product Strategy & Planning team and broader Commercial function in the development of Customer Focused product definition for the client, and their subsequent delivery to market. Lead key aspects of the Commercial Take-To-Market (TTM) plan for future vehicle programmes working across the commercial team and broader business.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Support product programme related marketing and commercial activities. In particular, the development of the commercial strategy and supporting Take-To-Market (TTM) plans including:
• Product positioning & messaging
• Customer Attributes and requirements
• Product Definition
• Volume and Pricing strategy
• Options & Colour & Trim strategy/execution
• Global pre-production vehicle planning
• Marketing plans
Manage product planning activities and on-going product strategy development including:
• Liaison with VLE's, Programme Business Office and Engineering, including gateways and PST meetings
• Input sales and marketing requirements to whole life plan
• Develop tactical product actions where required
• Ongoing strategy development
• Reporting (eg option take rates)
• Competitor and technology benchmarking
• Identify sales and marketing fleet requirements
• Define requirements for any research programmes
Integrate, plan and align the product & programme requirements with regional teams.
To undertake other duties as required to achieve the Company's objectives.

Qualification & Experience:
• A Degree (or equivalent) in a business related area, for example, Business, Marketing, Engineering
• Proven experience in broad automotive role(s)
• Good presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to use PowerPoint & Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at various levels
• Excellent planning skills with strong ability to think strategically
• Strong and proven business acumen skills
• Good understanding of all Commercial organisation and business processes
• Ideally has experience in Marketing/Sales
• Strong desire to learn and progress
