An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join Corin based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Founded in Cirencester in the UK in 1985, our products are now distributed globally through subsidiaries in the USA, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Germany, Austria and Italy, as well as through an extensive distributor network across Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

As a Project Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the execution and delivery of Hip Product Development projects.
  • Generate the right specification for the market.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables in accordance with design control procedures.
  • Create and deliver detailed project work plans for how to achieve each stage of the project and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage and co-ordinate project resource allocation.
  • Work closely with all relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
  • Ensure product quality and Company standards are met.
  • Co-ordinate design reviews to ensure product is designed and engineered to specification
  • Manage Stage Gate process by coordinating internal stakeholders i.e. marketing, finance, product development, manufacturing and regulatory functions.
  • Ensure delivery of final product on time and on budget, and according to customer / marketing requirements for performance and quality via coordination of the departmental functions.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) through project teams.
  • Provide direction and support to project teams.
  • Co-ordinate clients and suppliers on outsourced manufacturing processes, goods and services as required for the key projects.
  • Report to Design Manager on project plans and timescales and make appropriate recommendations.   
  • Submits project status reports to all stakeholders; anticipates and reacts to change.

An ideal Project Manager will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Medical device and biomechanics experience preferred.
  • BEng or BSc in a relevant subject such as Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Industrial / Product Design or equivalent experience.  
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate cross functional work.
  • Expert knowledge of the engineering associated with hip / knee orthopaedic devices.
  • Experienced project manager with a proven track record of delivering projects from initial concept to delivery to end user.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Highly IT literate and competent in the use of project planning tools.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong decision making skills.
  • Good judgement skills.
  • Manage, lead and motivate project teams and project core team members.
  • Ability to identify and analyse problems and generate solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise and structure work on multiple projects.
  • Good time management skills.
