We are recruiting for experienced Commercial Property Underwriters.
Responsible for the Development & Underwriting of Property insurance risks within corporate guidelines.
Who do we want/what do you need?
Understanding/experience of delegated authorities and internet trading
Educated to GCSE level including passes in English and Mathematics. Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute or commitment to study and pass within 3 years of joining or as otherwise agreed
Evidence of a commitment to and track record of self development and training with previous employers by way of Record of Continual Professional Development
Evidence of good understanding of regulatory requirements including Treating Customers Fairly and Contract Certainty
Experience/Skills
Candidates will have at 3 - 5 years' experience of underwriting commercial and residential property owners insurance ideally in an MGA and/or broker environment
Sound property owners insurance technical knowledge and commerciality
Ability to trade & negotiate with brokers
Communication skills - able to communicate with people at all levels over the telephone, in writing and in person including formal presentations
