Full Time HLTA Needed Derby City School
Role
A large school in central Derby is looking for an experienced capable KS2 HLTA. You will work closely with an NQT and help with behaviour management and also plan in partnership well-structured intervention sessions. You must also be able to cover PPA time for two afternoons a week. A maths or English specialism is desirable.
Benefits
Hours are very flexible, even though this is a full time role you will have the option on either two afternoons or mornings or a combination of the two off. The school has a fantastic support structure and a very experienced SLR team which is very friendly and inviting to new staff. The role will be a rolling contract running on a termly basis with the possibility of turning into a full time position.
Expectations
You must have strong communication skills and work well under instruction and as part of a team. You will be working with the NQT as a team and must be able to give good well-structured feedback of assessments of students and recommendations for improvements. You must be friendly and above all a positive person and have good interpersonal skills as this is a very close nit school and has a great community feel.
When does it start?
Trials are being held next week and may follow onto the week after if the first round of shortlisting isn't successful. The Head teacher is already covering the role with supply but is looking to invite a new more permanent member of the team to join as soon as possible.
