Solutions Architect - Defence, TOGAF / MODAF / NAF. My client based in Bristol, Avon are looking for an IT Solutions Architect - SC cleared is preferable. This is an exciting opportunity to use your broad experience and in-depth technical skills to really make a difference. The projects are varied and fast moving so you will have a broad range of opportunities to apply your skills to different problems. You must be: Enterprise & Solution Architecture (with a focus on practical and achievable architectures) - In addition, security and federated architectures would be useful and an understanding of architectural pattern re-use.Pragmatic personality with customer facing skills. - You are comfortable communicating at all levels of an organisation and can translate between technical and business language.Information Architectures and ICT technologies - You have excellent knowledge of information architectures, ICT technologies and how to use them from an organisational perspective (i.e. gateways, cloud computing, delamination, encapsulation/VM ware, patch management & configuration control)Service Architecture & Service Management - You have an excellent understanding of both design and implementation. You have a good understanding of the business architectures and how they relate to the technical architectures and commercial models. You have a working knowledge of IBAs, SLAs and OLAs and how they are applied. You have an excellent understanding of the approaches to ICS/ICT organisational governance & how to integrate it within a Service focussed business.You have experience of large scale system Integration and integration into heterogeneous environments.You have a good knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF / MODAF / NAF).You have a good knowledge IT Service Management Frameworks, including at least one of ITIL, COBIT, FitSM or ISO/IEC 20000.Ideally SC clearance or above. Role involves: You will have the opportunity to shape and deliver innovative and high quality solutions directly for our clients in a new, but rapidly expanding area of our Defence business.Work with an established team supporting a range of Defence & government clients on critical and strategic client projects.Lead key tasks on projects reporting directly to the project manager.Provide occasional, but essential input to bids and wider business activities where your skills will be seen a real assetWork closely with peers and mentors to plan tasks and contribute to our business goals.Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues.
