Head Housekeeper

Gracewell of Bath is a purpose built state of the art 62 bed home due to open in early 2017. We are looking for an experienced Head Housekeeper to come and join our team in February. The Head of Housekeeping is responsible for providing leadership support to the Housekeeping and laundry operations team in directing tasks as well as performing hands on housekeeping and laundry activities when required. As Head of Housekeeping you will be responsible for developing work assignments for housekeeping and laundry team members and supervising all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure they meet Gracewell Healthcare standards. Taking ownership will be for recruitment and training of new team members and you will provide coaching and develop team members with regular 1:1 meetings and appraisals. Able to manage a team, supervisory or management experience.Good organisational skills and able to work on own initiativeIT skills, office, word, excel and learn the payroll systemAbility to handle multiple tasksWritten and verbal skills to communicate with othersCaring and compassionate attitudeResponsible for the management and control of budgets.
