Exciting opportunity for a Legal Advisor to join a prestigious law firm in Taunton.To contribute to the effectiveness of the team by providing a comprehensive and efficient support to internal and external clients in order that the business objectives of the firm and team are achieved. To maintain the high standard of service offered to the firm's existing clients and to assist in furthering the professional reputation of the team. To contribute to the development of the team in accordance with the firm policy.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:To undertake filing on a day to day basis to ensure that correspondence is placed on matter files.To use IT applications to open/close matter files.To undertake hard copy file closure and archiving when required.To deal with administrative requirements in relation to files for all members of the team.To deal accurately with filing - storage and retrieval of client files in line with the department's filing system and locating missing files.To adopt a pro active approach at all times.Assistance with document production and/or amendments.Preparing and sending spreadsheets for internal and external use.To assist with the administration of the collateral warranty review service.To assist the financial controller as required.To contribute to the provision of the team's working practices and systems.To use the photocopying equipment to achieve copies of the correct standard in line with the firm's and department's requirements.HUMAN RESOURCESFaxing and printing e-mailed documents.General administrative and selective tasks.To ensure the confidentiality and security of all practice and client's documentation and/or information.To operate the Firm's quality procedures and information security systems as specified in the current edition of the Quality Procedures.To undertake any specific training courses as identified by the HR department.To create and maintain professional relationships with clients and other staff.To operate safely in the work place.To undertake any other duties which from time to time may be allocated.To maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's existing clients and to assist in creating and developing the professional reputation of the department and Firm.To be subject to varying degrees of supervision on a day to day basis liaising with the departmental manager and other partners on a regular basis. To work on own initiative.This is a developing role and the job profile is not exhaustive and may vary in line with changes in the team's objectives and Firm policy.
