Sponsorship Development Manager, leading events company - London

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience + benefits + competitive - OTE £15K ontop of base

Key Purpose
Responsible for Identifying sponsorship sales targets through personal research & growing industry knowledge
Conduct face to face meetings with prospective clients
Sell sponsorship to achieve both event targets and monthly targets
Attend events, work with clients and grow portfolio
Identify new product ideas with customers and share with business

Key Accountabilities
Plan sponsorship sales campaigns in conjunction with event Producer to identify sponsorship categories and specific targets for sponsorship sales
Build a list of sponsorship prospects that reflect the most relevant targets for the campaign
Reach and exceed KPI's for daily calls made and proposals created
Deliver sponsorship sales against set targets for both specific events and the sales month
Review performance against plan with Head of Sponsorship Sales and contribute to action plans to ensure delivery against plan or above
Continuous research to identify and create awareness of competitor events, industry trends and market occurrences
Research new event topics / products with clients and market

Qualifications & Experience

Passionate about and able to communicate the power of events
2+ years' experience within an events business (DS / SpEx) pref.
Proven track record of sales - pref. in sponsorship
Experience of working on-site at events
Experience of developing and executing portfolio growth plans
Self-starter who does not need constant supervision
Someone who can work to KPI's
