Controls Manager

Location: Chorley, PR7 7NB

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 basic per annum dependant on experience

Hours of work: Monday to Sunday, 2 days off (as allocated by the Operations Manager)

This role is Office and Field based

Purpose

The purpose of the Control Manager will be to assist the Operations Manager and you will supervise, manage and lead both the control and supervisory team. You will ensure the Leadership, Management and Control & Supervision of our security personnel nationwide. Ensuring the Management of: The Health, Safety, Welfare, Training, Development, and the Scheduling of all employees. Accountable for Delivering quality Control, through systems and process as per the required industry standards and development and maintenance of effective on-site Risk Assessments & Assignment Instructions.

Duties of the Controls Manager

  • Assist in the improvement of the operational processes, policies and systems in line with the company objectives
  • Ensure all systems and procedures are documented to fully comply with the ISO 9001 and ACS accreditations
  • Implement, review and improve departmental KPI’s
  • Arrange relevant training sessions as necessary to improve productivity of staff
  • Capability and understanding of the company’s workforce management software is a key responsibility of the role.
  • You will be responsible for the effective input of data into the rostering and billing system, ensuring accuracy and diligence to enable accurate billing of clients.
  • You will lead and innovate the Control and Mobile Supervision team
  • Implement, review and improve departmental processes, policies and procedures
  • Ensuring your teams are adequately trained to carry out their roles
  • You will liaise directly with clients, customers, suppliers and employees on a daily basis, ensuring you remain professional at all times
  • Manage and provide leadership for the Supervisors and Security Officers in ensuring that they are maintaining client relationships, treating employees with care and following all company policies
  • Review and approve all written reports of investigation generated by assigned personnel. Such review shall insure that the report accurately and concisely documents all incidents/accidents that occur on property owned, controlled of maintained by the client that have been submitted in the proper format within 48 hours
  • Implement progressive disciplinary actions for subordinate violations of Company or Client Policy as necessary, in strict accordance with established company policy after consultation and direction for Human Resources. No employee will be suspended or discharged without consultation and input from the Human Resources department
  • Work in coordination with Human Resources to continue efforts to recruit and deploy the highest quality work force
  • Fully committed to the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring the Health and Safety and welfare of all officers on duty
  • Ensure the full implementation of ISO 9001: Quality Assurance
  • Oversee all temporary assignments in the UK ensuring Risk Assessment, Assignment Instructions & post guidelines are written and that the necessary information is communicated to the assigned employees prior to deployment
  • Manage and maintain all company and or customer vehicles, keys, personal information and property
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings, ensuring you are prepared for all meetings

Requirements of the Controls Manager:

Essential

  • Current SIA License
  • Experience in Control Room and Mobile Supervision Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use I.T systems effectively
  • Good Organisational skills
  • Ability to deal with clients and senior management
  • High level of professionalism
  • Flexible working hours
  • Computer literate - Microsoft Office suite
  • Reliable with excellent time keeping
  • Ability to use initiative and be adaptable
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and part of a team
  • A good knowledge of the security industry

Desirable

  • Good motivational skills
  • Leadership qualifications
  • Experience working with the Security industrial
  • Driving licence and own Transport
  • First aid Qualification
  • Health & Safety Qualification
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Customer Services
  • ISO 901- experience in working with the Quality Management System
  • ACS- experience in working within the standards
