Operations Manager
This successful and growing high volume manufacturing business is looking to build on an already impressive history. They are going through significant change and wish to recruit an Operations Manager to be at the forefront of this cultural change.
As part of the site management team the role will have full responsibility for the safety, well-being and performance of all employees, ensuring that production is executed in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Support and develop existing Shift Managers to deliver to business expectations.
- Drive a culture of change and deliver GMP standards.
- Effectively use data to improve yields and reduce operating costs.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the working areas.
- Investigate solutions to improve delivery by driving a strong lean culture.
- Improve communications between management and operations.
- Identify any training/development requirements.
Candidates will have eight years plus managerial experience and a background in high volume manufacturing or processing. In addition they will have a record of delivering sustainable change within a continuous improvement environment. Good verbal and written communication and motivation skills are important together with a strong hands-on people management and flexible change management approach.
Additional Benefits
In addition to the basic salary quoted the benefits will include a car allowance, bonus, health-care and pension.
This is a permanent full-time position and candidates must have good spoken English, currently be resident in the UK and be entitled to work in this country.
