2016 is a particularly exciting time to be working at BMW Hams Hall. With the introduction of new manufacturing facilities, we are now seeking to recruit a Senior Process Leader to work a weekend night shift pattern. 

BMW Plant Hams Hall is an integral part of BMW Group's global engine production network, manufacturing fuel efficient, low emission engines for BMW and MINI vehicles sold around the world. As part of a large investment programme, we have installed brand-new facilities to enable the production of future generation engines.

This role represents an outstanding opportunity for a proven leader from a high volume production background to join one of the most innovative, exciting and high quality automotive manufacturers in the world. 

As a Senior Process Leader, you will join our fast-paced production environment and take the lead for the operations of a specified production line. 

You will aim to achieve safety, environmental, quality, cost, productivity and volume targets, completing shift handovers and escalating any issues. For problems that cannot be resolved effectively, such as the inability to support continuous manufacturing, you will seek direction from senior team members. 

Managing a team of around 20 staff, you will ensure that operations completed are compliant with quality targets and holiday and time keeping issues are managed.

To be considered for this role, you must have: 

- Experience of leading a team and dealing with conflict, absenteeism, discplinaries and other team management factors 
- Experience in a high volume production industry and a track record of meeting high levels of quality 
- Maintenance experience or experience using and maintaining an interface and other technical bits of equipment 
- A formal engineering qualification such as an ONC or HND in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline or equivalent experience 
- A good level of PC literacy, especially with Microsoft applications 

Calm and professional, as a Senior Process Leader, you will need to be a confident, articulate decision maker with the mindset to solve problems within a pressurised environment. The ability to communicate technical topics in a clear and concise manner to all levels is also key. 

Please note, this role operates on a weekend night shift pattern.
