Family Lives is a leading national family support charity. We provide 24 hour support, seven days a week through a range of innovative and integrated services, engaging with over 2.5 million families and young people through our digital communications, helpline and face to face support.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead a small team delivering the Coventry Volunteer Visiting Service. Through our team of volunteers, we support families to establish a structure that supports children’s and young people’s learning and development, keeps young people and children in school, decreases anti-social behaviour and supports parents to get a job.

The Project Manager will work closely with Coventry City Council, Social Care and Children and Families First teams to gain referrals for families to access the service. You will recruit, train, support and match volunteers to support parents.  You will work in the office for the part of the week and from home for the rest of the week. Flexibility will be required.

The successful candidate must have experience of managing a complex project. You will also have experience of supporting families and recruiting and training volunteers.  Experience of supervising or managing staff and volunteers is required.  You must have experience of building excellent relationships and have good written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Commitment to equality of opportunity is essential. You must have a suitable home working environment.

The role is a maternity cover for 6 months or until the return of the post holder, whichever is sooner. There is the possibility of extension to 12 months.
