Our client is one of the UK’s largest distributors of leading branded and own-branded medical consumables to all areas of the healthcare market. Part of the fast growing FTSE 100 international and outsourcing group, they offer a range of traditional and bespoke supply chain solutions to meet their customers’ requirements in today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative & Administrator to join them at their Coalville branch.

Working in a manner than enables them to provide the very best possible service to their customers, you will place goods into storage, pick stock and consolidate orders whilst assisting with the loading of vehicles. Working closely with their Drivers, you must ensure that the payload is within limits for the vehicle, the permissible axle weights are not exceeded and that goods are safely loaded for transportation and deliver.

You will also be heavily involved in the warehouse administration -  checking pallet locations, investigating and reporting on stock variances and assisting the management team to analyse and identify areas of improvement within the stock control process. Dealing with stock checks and return notes, you will be responsible for the monthly clearance of damaged, expired stock and QA test samples and assist with pallet movements and receipting stock.

They are looking for an individual who has a strong customer focus and who can demonstrate a genuine interest in ensuring the needs of their customers are met. With an excellent work ethic and strong administrative skills, you will have the ability to maintain working relationships and be willing to share information and resources with others.

With a high degree of attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, you will operate at a pace that matches the requirements of the business and recognise the importance of timely completion of tasks. You will need to have good working knowledge of SAGE, be highly numerate and be competent in Microsoft Office.

Previous warehousing experience is not essential.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 until 16:00. They do ask that the successful candidate is flexible to work extra hours our help out in areas outside of the role as and when required.
