Are you a confident computer literate database user with an organised approach, practical experience of handling museum collections and working with information to make collections accessible?

This exciting opportunity is a project post for a Documentation Officer based at a world-renowned museum in South Kensington, London.

This post will support our Masterplan Teams in delivering the new and exciting gallery developments at the Museum. You will be working as part of a small team to deliver and facilitate the preparation work required for the decant of the fours galleries Agriculture, Cosmos and Culture, Time and Challenge of Materials. You will be responsible for the preparation work for around 2,500 objects ahead of their removal and relocation into storage.

They are looking for a self-motivated individual with meticulous attention to detail who can execute a wide variety of tasks to an exacting standard. You will have good working knowledge of collections management databases, museum standards and team working. They also need good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

This role will be offered on a 24-week fixed-term contract.
