Parks Support Officer needed! If you are used to working outdoors, have practical repair skills (wood / metal) and a current UK driving licence, why not join the Parks Support Service based in Royal Victoria Park, Bath?
The Parks Department is looking for a competent and reliable person to become a Parks Support Officer. The role includes locking and unlocking of Council parks, gardens and cemeteries, undertaking safety checks in parks and play areas, supporting the Department running events and weddings in parks and assisting the Parks Manager with miscellaneous estate management functions within the authority.
Full training and a uniform will be provided.
The working time is based on two week rota and includes some early morning and evening working, plus duty on alternate weekends. Extra hours may be required to be worked during the school holidays and / or for special events.
Appointed candidates may be called at short-notice to provide emergency cover within the play areas. We require individuals who are adaptable, confident and preferably have experience of using their own initiative when working alone.
