Permanent and two temporary positions available covering long term absence / secondment.
The temporary contracts are for a period of nine and twelve months.

Our client has identified several opportunities for experienced Risk Reduction Officers to join their growing force.

Position Summary
As Risk Reduction Officers, you will play a key role in promoting the vision of the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to provide services through integration, partnership working and service delivery at a local level.

Your daily roles and responsibilities will be varied and will include;

• Working with the performance team and local partners as appropriate, identify local adverse trends in performance via analytical techniques to identify cause
• Working with the Group Station Manager/Risk Reduction Manager, partners and central teams to develop, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate initiatives that address adverse trends in performance
• Working with the relevant bodies to contribute to the development of the group business plan that address the strategic and seasonal areas of risk including identifying high risk groups, buildings and areas within the community.
• Administer and co-ordinate locally devolved budgets ensuring that any commissioned projects or initiatives are managed within budgets and best value is achieved.
• Identify and intervene with high risk individuals through the use of NFRS’ Policies and work with partners to mitigate that risk on a case management basis.

Who are we looking for?
The successful individuals will have the background, experience and motivation to effectively access and deliver a range of interventions with the ability to relate to a variety of agencies and to develop and support local partnerships.
• Full Clean Driving Licence and prepared to use your own vehicle
• Strong experience in a role which included within liaison, negotiation, evidence led interventions and partnership working
• An understanding of the Governments modernisation and change agenda for the Fire and Rescue Service is desirable
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal(fluent in English) is essential
• Competent with IT with a working knowledge of Microsoft
• An ambitious, organised and enthusiastic individual is perfectly suited to this role
• Sensitive to the needs of others including an understanding of the implications of confidentiality and data protection
• Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to flexible in their approach to working hours which may include some evening and weekend work
