Conveyancing Assistant
Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Assistant - Wells Mogers Drewett is a leading law firm with offices in Bath, Wells and Sherborne offering a range of legal services to individuals and business clients. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy Residential Property team at our brand new, modern offices in Wells. Here's a little bit more about the role: You'll be working with and supporting three of our property experts on a diverse range of client work including the selling and buying of houses, flats and new build properties and various transfers and remortgages. This will include progressing and maintaining client files and drafting of letters, legal documents and contracts. Importantly, you'll be the main point of contact for our clients; ensuring queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. About you We are ideally looking for someone with residential property experience and a good knowledge and understanding of residential property terminology and the stages and work involved in a property transaction - whether it be buying or selling. So if you are an estate agent or letting agent we would like to hear from you. You should be organised, thorough and have excellent communication skills. Strong IT skills are also a must. We have a commitment to delivering exemplary client service - we don't just say that, we mean it. So you will have the skills to understand a diverse range & type of client. You'll be able to guide them through the process, get the job done, and of course ensure we exceed their expectations. Whilst it would be good if you had specific legal assistant experience, we are interested in transferable skills, so if you have previous residential property experience in another professional services sector - an estate agent for example, then please get in touch. What sort of firm are we? We know our people are our most important asset and are key to everything we stand for, offer and deliver. You can expect a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, and an excellent range of benefits which include 25 days holiday, plus the option to 'buy and sell' up to 5 days, plus bank holidays and additional days at Christmas, an excellent contributory pension, full life cover and private medical cover. You'll also enjoy a modern office and working environment with free parking. Crucially though we strive to be an 'employer of choice' - we want you 'to want to work here' and we go a long way to engage with and involve all of our people in every aspect of our business. You'll find that we are stimulating, forward-thinking and supportive of people who want to enjoy their work, fulfil their career potential and excel at everything they do. Ready to join us? If you would like further details about any of the roles; or to have an informal chat with someone from the team perhaps, then get in contact. We'd be happy to talk to you.
