Strong European sales performance combined with significant investment has resulted in the business needing additional resource to support the growing market. The RoleWe are looking to recruit a degree qualified Engineer to support and further develop our motion control product range to better meet the needs of modern automation. Based at our design and manufacturing plant in Somerset you will be involved in the full product life cycle from initial concepts to full scale commercial production. Duties & Responsibilities Define and develop control system concepts and specifications. Produce detailed designs, drawings and prototype manufacture with consideration of quality, cost and on time delivery. Carry out DFMEA and PFMEA on designs. Test, analyse and resolve any EMC and Noise issues. Manage external resource and supply to deliver prototype projects on-time and within budget. Give technical & product support to the production unit. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Degree in a relevant Electronics Design or Electrical Engineering discipline. At least 1 year post graduate employment in an applicable role. Experience of DC Motors and motor control theory is essential. Proven experience with the MODBUS TCP or CAN open communications standard. Good experience with electronic (schematic and PCB) design. Comfortable writing test specifications, carrying out tests and writing up reports.
