Compassionate Home Care Assistants

Full-time/part-time/flexible working – starting salary £8.50 per hour rising to £9.00 per hour upon successful completion of the 3-month probationary period, additional paid travelling time at your hourly rate and 45p mileage. Leading to permanent contract of employment.

Severn Sunrise is a new care provider based in Quedgeley, Gloucestershire, passionate about care and quality of service.  We are looking for like-minded and experienced people to help build our new team and join us on our journey, plus we welcome mature people.

We want to make a difference to the people we care for whilst supporting the local community - with no short visits.  We will primarily be focusing on dementia and palliative care, but we do offer other care.  Our services will include personal care, prompting medication, preparing meals, companionship and accessing the community.  We will be working creatively in our approach and using the latest technology to make your life easier and your job more fulfilling.

We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to help build our new team and join us on our journey. Our approach is to work creatively whilst putting the person in the centre of their care.

You will be well-led, fully supported, treated with respect and will be an inclusive and valued member of the team.

Apart from being caring and compassionate you will also need experience and knowledge of dementia and palliative care and have worked in the care sector for 6 to 12 months.

Ideally you will have QCF/NVQ Level 2, excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident with technology i.e. smart phones, tablet, computer.
