Business Studies Teacher

We are currently working in partnership with a large secondary school in the Brentwood area. The opportunity is full time, teaching Business Studies or Economics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Previous experience of key stage 5 is desirable, along with the ability to teach consistently good and outstanding lessons. The school has seen rapid and extensive improvement over the last few years, something that has been highlighted by Ofsted, and a trend the school are keen to see continue by appointing strong practitioners.

The ideal candidate will:

*have strong subject knowledge of either Business Studies or Economics, with the ability to teach across key stages 3 4 & 5.
*have good behaviour management skills and the ability to keep pupils engaged and on task.
*display consistently good and outstanding teaching in an effort to improve student achievement, and stretch more able students.
*mark students' work regularly and accurately and give clear guidance on what is needed to progress.
*give pupils the opportunity to develop research and study skills, to make the achievement of higher grades a more empowering process.
*be able to keep a calm head under pressure and maintain a sense of humour.
