Are you looking for a break from a normal teaching role? Would you like to make a real difference to a young students life? We are looking for an experienced Teacher who is able to build a productive relationship with an MLD student on a 1:1 basis.

Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced teacher in the Brentwood area to teach a Year 11 Student on a 1:1 basis. The student has moderate learning difficulties and struggles with their concentration. Therefore, the successful candidate should have the ability to engage with the student and the flexibility to change things to suit them when necessary.

Experience working with MLD would be advantageous but is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.

You will be required to teach 15 hours per week (consisting of 5 x 3 hour sessions between Monday and Friday ? the sessions will be during School hours). We are looking for somebody to start ASAP and to continue on an ongoing basis.

Due to being an immediate start, it would be advantageous (but not essential) if you have a DBS currently on the online update service.

This is a great opportunity to:

- Do something a bit different to traditional teaching
- Gain great job satisfaction by making a very noticeable difference to a young person
- Work hours to suit
- Avoid the early morning traffic

Our client delivers individual specialist education programmes to young people who are facing difficulty in accessing education.

The children they provide a service to are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons and include children with special education needs, those in care homes, those with challenging behaviour and those who are under achieving and in need of specialist support.

Please send your CV to Greg Burns. Greg is our dedicated SEN Consultant and will be happy to guide you through each step of the process from your application, right up to starting work with the student.
