We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join the logistics team at our Wellingborough site. Reporting to the Transport Manager you will be responsible for planning product delivery to customers, ensuring compliance with deadlines, providing optimum fleet utilisation and delivering a quality service to our internal customers.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

+ Cost effective and efficient direction of dedicated fleet for packed/bulk materials. 
+ Booking, scheduling and close monitoring of delivery progress of bulk and packed hired haulage partners.
+ Operating to strict budgetary controls, customer service KPIs and H&S procedures.
+ All associated administration and record keeping.
+ Planning multi drop deliveries.

We Are Looking For:

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with an eye for detail and high standards of performance. You will be customer focussed, with good numerical, analytical and computer skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. 

This is a demanding & high profile role, therefore they will be confident and self-motivated, displaying proven abilities to perform under pressure and demonstrate strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills. 

You will be able to liaise effectively with the wider team and will be responsible to manage the contract fleet and third party providers to achieve the results demanded by the role. Experience of SAP is advantageous.
