I am building a team that facilitates a supportive environment to enable myself, a disabled woman with a busy lifestyle to live independently and achieve my own goals! I am looking for:

Are you reliable, flexible, adaptive and well organised?

Adaptive to working in a bespoke and unique role?

Are you able to offer personal care and health support, keep the house clean and are a good cook?

Have you strong organisation skills and can tackle administration?

Can you assist with formulating i.e. typing up my academic studies while I dictate to you, have good grammar also accessing University, organising study materials)?

I currently have a variety of full-time, part-time and relief roles available to fulfil a caring position as I undertake a PhD at the University of Bath whilst also managing a complex health treatment regime. Support arrangements cover a 24hr period with individual work patterns arranged into shifts (and to suit where possible). Shifts cover daytime and sleepovers, care covers 24/7 we can sometimes be outside Bath, during both the week and weekend. Most common one to one shift examples are: 10:00–18:00; 18:00-sleepover-10:00; 18:00-18:00 [including sleepover] (these shifts can be combined to cover longer periods of time).  Dedicated hours are also booked to cover specific responsibilities in addition to normal one to one working.

Hourly rates start from: £8.50/£9.50 Sleepover flat rate: £35.00/£40.00.

Key roles recruiting for:

One to one relief and regular roles available

Administration covering (record keeping, accounts [e.g. excel], recruitment, Rota and my diary management, website)

Assistance with completing my PHD thesis and other public speaking engagements.

Management and supervision of the house and meals

The following qualities are required:

Patience, have a good sense of humour, cope with working on a one to one basis, have good common sense, applying initiative without taking control. As well as being adaptive to a range of circumstances, work efficiently to tight timeframes, and importantly be sensitive and respectful to my individual needs and wishes, when offering personal care and health support. An ability to assist with typing and note taking, have good written English language skills, (particularly desirable as support is required to format my academic work). Reliable and trustworthy, particularly when it comes to task management; as a team we work on a collective responsibility structure. (Mentoring is available.)
