Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Worker who will work into the community supporting customers who have moved on from the 24 hour supported accommodation provision into their own flats. You will be responsible for providing support tailored to the needs of the customers to ensure they maintain their tenancies and integrate into the community.

Wolverhampton Mental Health and Complex Needs Service is part of our client's Inclusion Services and provides support to adults in the Wolverhampton area. The service supports customers who experience a challenging and chaotic lifestyle. The service is designed to offer high quality accommodation alongside a comprehensive package of support that enables people to address each need individually to bring about positive change. The successful candidate will work alongside individuals who may be experiencing mental health needs and/or unmet complex needs, such as substance misuse issues, offending behaviour, history of self harm, behavioural issues, physical health needs, mild learning difficulties and vulnerability due to lifestyle/age.

They are looking for an individual who has previous experience working within homelessness, mental health and / or substance misuse services, and has the passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people. You should have the ability to show empathy, communicate well and be flexible to meet the needs of the customers and service.

You must also have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and the ability to maintain the health, safety and security of both the customers and colleagues.
