JOB TITLE: Store Operative

SALARY & BENEFITS: From GBP8 to GBP10ph dependant on experience + health insurance & a company vehicle. Pension, life insurance and performance bonus scheme

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with an independent connections provider offering utility connections throughout the UK. They offer a first class service to all customers managing the whole process from design through to commissioning and adoption. Due to continued expansion and the opening of a new depot they now require Store Operatives to join the team at the Penrith Depot.

THE ROLE: The main purpose of a Stores Operative is to support the operational side of the business by ensuring that the correct materials are available on time to enable performance targets to be achieved.

Key Responsibilities of a Store Operative to include:-
  • Maintain stock levels
  • Service operational teams
  • Carry out regular stock taking
  • Issue and record stock
  • Prepare orders and collections
  • General housekeeping and safety

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work within timescales and deadlines. You will need to have the willingness to work the hours and have the flexibility to adapt to the reactivity of the business. It is also desirable that you have a fork lift truck and towing accreditation.

Key experience essential for the Store Operative role:
  • Full UK Driving licence (ideally clean)
  • Live within a commutable distance to Penrith
