Business Development Manager - Wellness / Health
Business Development Manager is needed for this leading health supplement company to be based in their Bristol office. They are looking for an incredibly driven person to grow and manage their wholesale program and key strategic accounts. This is a great opportunity for an experienced health or wellness marketing and salesperson to join their passionate team as they continue to build a well-respected brand through definition and growth of their wholesale channel.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening existing customer relationships, designing wholesale and distributor programs, and ongoing development of new accounts. Their wholesale channels include domestic and international accounts, online and in select retail locations, and must align with our outreach in the health practitioner niche. They receive many inquiries from around the world, ranging from small businesses to large; the Wholesale Account Manager will be responsible for assessing each opportunity and responding to all. The position may in the future involve a small amount of US, and potentially international travel. They are open to a virtual position, or you may work out of their Bristol, England office.
Support key strategic accounts through strong working relationships with account executives and buyers, presenting products, developing promotional campaigns, and managing effective marketing messaging.
Identify new wholesale & distributorship programs and opportunities.
Develop new wholesale accounts through outreach and response to all incoming inquiries.
Provide product information, training & support to wholesale customer base.
Develop market intelligence and assessment.
Regularly report on wholesale channel sales & pipeline.
Assist with development, refinement, and support of ordering, fulfillment, and logistics processes.
With marketing and management team, further develop & refine marketing and branding messaging.
Demonstrated industry related experience in sales, or vendor side sales management, preferably in a wellness or health endeavor.
Demonstrated success in development, definition, and growth of sales channel.
Creative, flexible, and collaborative approach.
Strong communication skills with ability to connect with large store buyers, as well as small business owners in the wellness sector.
Must have attention to detail and be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Ability to travel on occasion if necessary.
