JOB TITLE: Data Officer
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP10.49 - GBP11.51 dependant on experience, pension & onsite parking
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday Term time only + 1 week
THE COMPANY: We are working with an inclusive school in Newport that has a firm belief that all students no matter what their backgrounds, needs or ability are able to succeed and reach their full potential given the right care support and guidance. The school has a new, fantastic, modern GBP8 million building open in June 2015 with all of the latest facilities to aid them with their teaching and for student use.
THE ROLE: As a Data Officer you will be supporting the management, development and delivery of data for the school. You will be in charge of supporting school improvement through implementation of effective data systems and analysis of data.
Key Responsibilities of a Data Officer to include:-
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have a friendly yet professional and respectful approach. You will need to be an active listener and committed to the needs of pupils, parents and other stakeholders. Ideally you will have experience working within a school (preferably secondary), however if you have the right experience as a Data officer full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities of a Data Officer to include:-
- The collation, analysis and distribution of assessment and reporting data including :
- Coordinating the collection and entry of assessment data
- Track pupil progress
- Analysis of attendance and behaviour data
- Make data available to appropriate stakeholders at the appropriate time.
- Ensure the integrity of all data held in the school using the Information Management System
- Ensure data is input in a consistent and accurate manner onto all data systems.
- Develop and maintain data protocols. Provide staff training on use of data and MIS systems where appropriate
- Analysis of data, produce reports and documentation for the Senior Leadership Team, governors or other stakeholders as required
- Provide data and produce reports to meet internal and externally set deadlines.
- Produce regular reports to meet statutory requirements and deadlines.
- Assist the exams officer with the planning of delivery of examinations
