Our client is looking for an Engineering Assessor / Instructor to join their team in Havant, Hampshire.

They are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has a passion to impart their knowledge and experience to the engineers of tomorrow.

The role entails teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. A teaching and/or assessing qualification is desirable but not essential as the necessary training may be provided to the applicant with the right qualities.

You will be providing high quality engineering training to young learners, apprentices and corporate clients.

Essential requirements:

* Time served Engineer with Maintenance experience
* Level 3 Engineering qualification
* Level 2 literacy and numeracy
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Experience of working with young people
* Excellent written and communication skills and enjoy working in a learning environment.

Desirable requirements:

* NVQ/QCF Assessor Award
* Teaching Qualification
* Experience of working in a learning environment
* Good understanding of apprenticeship frameworks


Hours: 37.5 hours over five days. Normal office hours are 8.30 - 5.00* Monday to Friday with a one hour lunch break. *Start and finish times may vary to fulfil the requirements of the position

Holidays: The company leave year commences 1st January and your leave entitlement is 34 days which includes 8 public holidays (Pro rata for part time working). Annual leave will increase dependent on length of service rising to 38 days including 8 bank holidays

Salary:£26,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience

Travel:Havant based with some travel to different locations in and around Hampshire to meet with external businesses / internal employees 40p per mile mileage
