SALARY: GBP21,000 to GBP24,000

WORKING HOURS: Night shift - 4 on 4 off - 21:00 to 07:00

THE ROLE: As The Night Transport Planner/Controller you will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the efficient planning and recording of customer bookings in line with customer requirements and will provide the interface between customers, service partners and the internal planning team. Liaise with Drivers and Service Partners to agree and schedule the transport requirements to fulfil customer bookings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assign work to drivers & vehicles
- Minimise driver overtime and empty running by ensuring shift patterns are adhered to
- Monitor all bookings and resolve any issues through your shift
- Monitor and update drivers accordingly
- Monitor jobs for any late despatches or potential problems
- Ensuring all drivers are signed on
- Liaise with SP/Agents as required and book transfers as necessary
- Forward jobs to PDA's or advise drivers of jobs for the day shift
- Arrange special requirements for clients I.E child seat or VIP clients/passengers
- Accurate update of internal company database
Key experience essential for the role:
- Previous experience within the transport/Logistic sector is essential
- Provide excellent customer service
- Strong IT skills required including MS office knowledge
- Able to source information from a number of sources
- Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
- Able to work towards deadlines and timescales
- To be able to commute to Cheshire -Runcorn
