As an IT System Administrator / Desktop Support Analyst, you will be tasked with assisting the IT department in the provision of IT support services.
You’ll be playing a key role in maintaining our client’s IT infrastructure and will undertake installations, run diagnostics, complete repairs and upgrade software and hardware to ensure workstation performance.
Covering multiple sites across Surrey and the surrounding area, you will provide on-going operation support. This will include desktop OS, upgrades, service pack installations, bug fixes, security updates and system change activities.
In this varied role, you will act as an administrator for the Microsoft Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 environment, as well as Exchange and Active Directory. Your role will also encompass monitoring, troubleshooting and support for all end-users.
Interested? If so, you must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle and at least one of the following:
- At least two years’ experience in a similar support and system admin role
OR
- An MCP certification
Flexible, enthusiastic and motivated, as an IT System Administrator / Desktop Support Analyst, you’ll also need a can-do approach coupled with the ability to work well under pressure, independently and with little supervision. You’ll need to be able to prioritise tasks, possess strong organisational skills and have the ability to confidently communicate at all levels.
Experience working with CentOS would be beneficial to your application.
Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Egham or be willing to relocate.
