Job Title: Insurance Claims Handler

Location: Sheffield, S4

Salary: £16,000 per annum rising to £16,500 on completion of probationary period

Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

Start Date: Immediately

Job Role:

To deliver an excellent level of Customer Service in relation to handling GAP Claims, in line with all procedures and within agreed Client SLAs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To handle first notification of loss either by telephone, letter or e-mail, meeting /exceeding Client SLA's
  • To handle enquiries and settlements, meeting /exceeding Client SLA's
  • Prepare claims files, liaising with interested parties and prepare settlements, communicating resolution in a clear and effective manner
  • Ensure departmental procedures are developed and documented as required
  • Maintain and update departmental records
  • Maintain an awareness of general insurance products, services and developments to improve service and claims handling delivery
  • Handle all aspects of a claim incorporating FCA guidelines and regulations in relation to process and procedure
  • Any adhoc duties, which the company deems necessary to complete the specified job
